Ghetts continues his onslaught after the controverisial MTV Base Top 10 MC list.
Ghetts didn’t make the recently published MTV Base Top Ten MCs of 2010. Justified or not, he’s decided to vent his anger with a tune and video knocked up in 24 hours and released on Grime Daily today. With shots aimed at half the list and the entire panel (barring Charlie Sloth who wanted him on) Ghetts is not messing about, he’s pissed and he doesn’t care who knows it.
My opinion, for what it’s worth, is that it’s great that the show was put together and gave some light to the scene but why make it a top 10? Top MC’s of 2010 with a public vote would have made a much better show for the channel and the scene. With Max (formerly of 1Xtra) confirming that the list was changed due to commercial pressure what was a chance to celebrate the achievements of some of Grime’s biggest names is in danger of becoming farcical.
